Into the Deep is a dungeon exploring game for helping KeyStage 2 children practice their mathematical skills including problem solving and times-tables multiplication and division facts.
Children take on the role of explorers that have landed on a new planet and found the underground ruins of a civilisation that appears to be have been abandoned its alien creators. They will explore this underground maze of rooms and corridors looking for the treasure that has been left behind; however, explorers must be weary of the terrifying creatures that have now made this subterranean labyrinth their home.
To play the game children will work in groups to place room tile and corridors to build the underground maze. When a teams places a new room tile, they will then need to draw a problem card which will feature a mathematical problem that the children will need to solve before they move on with their journey.
